  • 6 1/3 ounces spaghetti
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove sliced
  • 6 anchovies chopped
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 10 olives chopped
  • 1 cayenne pepper whole
  • 5 tomatoes ; peeled, seedless, and crushed

    Cook the pasta according to package directions in salted water.

    In a skillet with a little oil, saute the garlic and anchovies.

    When the anchovies start to melt like butter, add the capers and olives.

    Once everything is warmed through, add the cayenne pepper and the tomatoes and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.

    Drain the pasta and serve topped with the puttanesca sauce.
