Pasta With Broccoli

Ingredients
- 1 lb. short pasta (mostaccioli, ziti, rigatoni, linguine or spaghetti)
- 4 c. broccoli florets
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- coarse black pepper
- 2 to 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Cook pasta in boiling salted water, until 3 to 5 minutes from done.

2Drop in broccoli; finish cooking pasta and broccoli until al dente.

3Drain.

4While pasta is cooking, saute oil, butter, garlic and pepper 1 to 2 minutes.

5Do not let garlic brown. Remove from heat and add Parmesan cheese.

6Pour sauce over pasta and add extra seasonings, if desired.

7Serve immediately.
