Pasta With Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 4 qt. water
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • 2 qt. water
  • 1 lb. broccoli (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    In 2 quarts water (boiling) cook broccoli or steam in less water.

    Drain (hold water aside).

    In a skillet mince 2 cloves garlic very small.

    On a low flame and in 1/4 cup oil, cook until tender and lightly browned.

    Add cut up broccoli bits, salt and pepper.

    In a large pot boil spaghetti until tender; drain.

    Add broccoli to spaghetti.

    Top with Parmesan cheese.

    Some held over broccoli liquid can be added if less drier is desired.
