Pasta with Calamari

Ingredients

  • 1 large Tomato
  • 1 to 2 Calamari (squid)
  • 250 grams Pasta
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper or regular pepper
  • 1 Basil (fresh or dried)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 boil in a pot Hot water (salted)

Directions

    While the water for the pasta is boiling, cut the calamari into edible sizes.

    Remove but do not throw out the guts.
  3. 3
    Heat olive oil in a pan and saute the garlic.
  4. 4
    Add tomato and dried basil, and continue to saute.
  5. 5
    Add the calamari guts when the tomato starts to break apart.

    When the pasta is just about finished, add the calamari into the pan.

    Add freshly cooked pasta into the pan and saute lightly as you toss with the sauce.

    Add fresh basil to finish.

    You can omit the fresh basil if you want.
