Pasta With Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 whole large onion, chopped
  • 6 to 8 cubes beef flavored bouillon
  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1 (8 oz.) can peas and their juice
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. grated cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni

Directions

    Put oil, onion, margarine and bacon into large pasta pan over low heat.

    When onions are soft, add juice of peas and water to the handle marks.
  3. 3
    Add the tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste, beef bouillon and baking soda.

    Cook for 20 minutes at slow boil.

    Add macaroni and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add peas and grated cheese and cook 10 minutes longer.
