Pasta with Stir Fried Beef

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 3/4 lb. beef sirloin steak, cut into thin slices Whole Foods 1 lb For $7.99 thru 02/09
  • 1 cup each: chopped onion, broccoli, snow peas, red pepper and mushrooms
  • 2/3 pkg. (500g) capellini

Directions

    Stir together broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar and sesame oil.

    Whisk in cornstarch until smooth.

    Set aside.

    Cook garlic and ginger in oil in a wok or large frypan over medium-high heat for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.

    Add beef and stir fry for 3 minutes.

    Remove from pan and set aside.

    Add vegetables and stir fry for 5 -7 minutes or until crisp-tender.

    Add sauce mixture and beef.

    Bring to boil and cook 3 - 5 minutes or until sauce thickens.

    Cook pasta according to package directions.
