  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 (8 oz.) box elbow macaroni
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. cubed Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 4 c. milk

Directions

    Brown beef and onion together in a large frying pan.

    Drain off any fat.

    Add undrained tomatoes, tomato paste and thyme.

    Add 1 teaspoon salt, if desired.

    Simmer, covered, 30 minutes.
