Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. water
  • 1 cube oleo or butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 well beaten eggs
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 6 to 7 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 to 1/2 cup water. Cream oleo or butter, Crisco, sugar and salt. Add yeast and eggs. Then add 1 cup hot water and 1 cup cold water.

    Add flour. Knead. Let rise in refrigerator overnight or in a warm place. Punch down. Rise again. Shape and bake at 350° in oven 30 minutes.
