- 1 3/4 cups flour, plus up to 1 additional cup
- 1/4 pound sweet butter, chilled and cut into chunks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup ice water
Directions

1Place 1 3/4 cups of the flour in a food processor.

2Add the butter and salt and process until well mixed.

3Add the egg and oil.

4Process for 30 seconds, adding more flour as needed if the mixture is too wet.

5(The mixture should resemble coarse cornmeal.)

6Add the ice water and process for another 30 seconds.

7Remove the dough and form into a ball.

8Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

9When ready to use, roll out the dough on a lightly floured board.
