- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. canned and drained fruit
Directions

1Cream together Crisco and sugar.

2Add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk.

3Pour into greased loaf pan or casserole.

4Pour in 1 1/2 to 2 cups canned and drained fruit over batter.

5Tart Mn. plums or apples with lemon juice added are good. Pour over fruit 1 cup of the fruit juice.

6Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 375°.

7Serve as is or with cream (not whipped cream).
