- 1 ham bone, meaty
- 500 g yellow split peas
- 500 g split peas
- 2 onions, finely diced
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 liter chicken stock
- salt
- pepper
Directions

1Cover peas with plenty of water and let soak over night.

2Drain well and rinse.

3Place all ingredients into a large soup pot, and add enough water to cover.

4Cook on low for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally.

5Remove the bone and bay leaf, and blend soup with a stick blender until smooth.
