Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ripe peaches
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1/4 c. golden raisins, softened in water and drained well
- 1/4 c. walnuts
Directions

1Peel skin off peaches and cut into small chunks.

2In a medium size bowl and using a potato masher, mash the peaches; pour into a strainer and drain.

3In large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.

4Set aside.

5In medium size bowl blend together peaches, beaten egg and melted margarine.

6Stir in the nuts and raisins.

7Add to the flour mixture and blend well.

8Pour into a 5 x 9-inch greased and floured loaf pan and let stand for 20 minutes.

9Bake in 350° oven for 55 minutes.

10Cool bread in pan for 15 minutes.
