Peach Cake

- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 fresh peaches, sliced
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. nuts
Directions

1Cream shortening.
-
2Add 1/2 cup sugar and beaten eggs.

3Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

4Add to wet mixture (gradually). Pour 1/2 of batter into loaf pan.

5Slice peaches and lay over batter.

6Add remaining batter.

7Combine 1/3 cup of sugar, cinnamon and nuts.

8Sprinkle over top of cake. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
