- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
- 1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Pour butter into shallow 2-quart baking dish and set aside. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup of juice.

2In a saucepan bring peaches and juice just to a boil.

3Remove from heat.

4In mixing bowl combine 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Mix well.

5Pour over butter in baking dish.

6Spoon hot peaches over butter.

7Sprinkle with remaining sugar.

8Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.

9Serve warm.
