Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 4 1/2 c. peeled, sliced peaches or nectarines (about 2 lb.)
- 1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell
Directions

1In bowl, stir together flour and sugar.

2With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in margarine until crumbs form.

3Stir in nuts.

4Set aside.

5In medium bowl, mix cornstarch and ginger.

6Stir in corn syrup until smooth.

7Add peaches.

8Toss to coat.

9Spoon into pastry shell.

10Sprinkle crumb mixture on top.

11Bake at 375° for 55 minutes or until golden brown.
