- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. chopped fresh peaches
Directions

1Grease a 10-inch tube pan with 2 tablespoons butter.

2Sprinkle pan with 1/4 cup sugar.

3Cream remaining butter; gradually add remaining sugar, beating well.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5Add vanilla and mix well.

6Combine 2 3/4 cups flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, beating until well blended.

7Dredge peaches with remaining 1/4 cup flour.

8Fold peaches into batter.

9Pour batter into prepared pan.

10Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

11Remove from pan and cool completely.
