- 1 1/2 c. cooked dry peaches
- 1/3 c. cooking liquid, from peaches
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 6 unbaked 6 inch pastry rounds
Directions

1Drain and slice peaches, combine liquid, sugar, cornstarch and spices.

2Heat to boiling, stirring, mix with peaches.

3Cold, spoon about 1/3 c. filling on half of each pastry round.

4Moisten edges fold over to enclose filling.

5Press together with fork.

6Make slits on cut outs in top.

7Brush with butter and sprinkle lightly with sugar.

8Bake at 400 degrees about 15 min or possibly till browned.

9Makes 6 turnovers.
