- 1 (1 lb.) can sliced peaches
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/4 c. melted margarine
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. bran
- 1 egg
- 1 c. unbleached flour (plain)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Drain peaches.

2Reserve syrup.

3Combine bran and 1/2 cup peach syrup.

4Let stand.

5Add egg, honey and margarine.

6Beat well.

7In another bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.

8Add dry ingredients to other mixture.

9Pour batter into oiled 9-inch square pan.

10Make grooves diagonally in batter with floured spoon.

11Place peaches in grooves.

12Sprinkle remaining cinnamon and sugar on top.

13Bake 30 minutes at 400°.
