  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 cup chilled butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 34 cup peach preserves
  • 23 cup sugar
  • 14 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups shredded sweetened coconut

    In a large bowl, combine flour and baking powder.

    Using a pastry blender or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour till mixture is coarse and crumbly.

    Using a wooden spoon, add eggs one at a time, then the milk, stirring to make a soft dough.

    Spread dough into a greased 8x8-inch or 9x9-inch pan (depending on how thick you want your bars).
