- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. water
- 2 c. unroasted Spanish or Virginia peanuts
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. soda
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup and water.

2Cook slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves.

3Cook to soft ball stage (238°).

4Add peanuts and salt.

5Cook to hard ball stage (290°).

6Stir constantly.
-
7Remove from heat; add butter and soda.

8Stir lightly.
-
9Pour evenly into well-greased shallow pan.

10Cool partially by lifting around edge with knife.

11When firm, turn.

12When cold, break into pieces.
