- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. peanuts
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1In a 3-quart saucepan heat together sugar, corn syrup and water, stirring until sugar dissolves.

2When syrup boils, blend in margarine.

3Stir frequently after temperature reaches 230°.

4Add peanuts when temperature reaches 280°.

5Stir constantly to crack stage (305°).
-
6Remove from heat.
-
7Quickly stir in soda, mixing well.

8Pour onto 2 buttered cookie sheets.

9Loosen from pans when candy hardens.

10Break into pieces.
-
11Makes 2 1/2 pounds.
