  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Karo syrup (white)
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. raw peanuts

Directions

    Lightly grease a cookie sheet and set aside.

    Mix sugar, syrup, water and salt in a skillet.

    Bring to a boil.

    Boil until clear.

    Add peanuts; stir continuously while boiling until candy is brittle when dropped in cold water.

    Remove from heat, but continue stirring until it stops bubbling.

    Add baking soda. Mixture will foam up.

    Stir until well mixed and pour onto greased cookie sheet.

    Let set until cool and break into small pieces.
