  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. soda
  • 1 lb. (2 1/2 c.) raw peanuts (Spanish)

Directions

    Cook sugar, corn syrup and water until it forms a hard ball in cool water (250° to 260°).

    Add unblanched peanuts and continue to cook until mixture turns golden brown.

    Remove from heat and stir in butter or margarine and salt.

    Stir in soda.
