- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. white Karo
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/8 lb. butter
- 1 Tbsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
Directions

1Use a wooden spoon.

2Line cookie sheet with foil.

3Mix sugar, water and Karo.

4Cook until syrup strings a hair.

5Add pecans and cook and stir occasionally until golden brown.

6Take off heat and add salt and butter.

7Stir until butter melted.

8Add soda and vanilla.

9Beat vigorously until it foams up.

10Pour onto cookie sheets.

11Spread as thin as possible.

12Let cool until hard.

13Peel off foil.
