  • 3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 c. raw peanuts
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    In saucepan, combine sugar, syrup and water.

    Boil until mixture forms a thread about 6-inches long or reaches 250° on a candy thermometer.

    Add peanuts.

    Stir continuously until caramel color.

    Remove from stove.

    Add butter, salt and soda.

    Pour on buttered board to cool.

    Break into pieces.
