- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. raw peanuts (1 lb.)
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Combine in iron skillet the corn syrup, sugar and water. Stir until sugar dissolves and cooks to 234° or soft ball on candy thermometer.

2Add raw peanuts and boil to 310° or brittle stage. Remove from heat and add baking soda, vanilla, salt and butter. (These should be mixed in a cup before you begin and mix up so can be added all at once.)

3Cool and break into pieces.
