- 1 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 or 1 1/2 c. roasted salted peanuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with well buttered aluminum foil, buttered side up; set aside.

2Combine sugar, syrup and salt in 2-quart bowl.

3Microwave on High for 5 minutes.

4Stir in peanuts; microwave 3 to 5 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes, until syrup and peanuts are lightly browned.

5Watch very carefully so the peanuts don't burn.

6Stir in butter, vanilla and soda until light and foamy.

7Spread to 1/4-inch thickness on foil covered cookie sheet.

8Cool; break into pieces.

9Makes 1 pound.
