- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. syrup (white Karo)
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 12 oz. raw peanuts
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Butter a large cookie sheet.

2Cook the first 4 ingredients at high temperature until boiling.

3Add peanuts.

4Boil until syrup begins to turn brown (about 7 minutes).

5Add soda; stir only until soda dissolves.

6Pour onto buttered cookie sheet.

7Do not spread. Allow brittle to spread by itself.

8After it cools, break into small pieces.
