  • 1 tsp. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 lb. shelled peanuts

Directions

    Butter 2 cookie sheets, 15 1/2 x 12-inches.

    Mix baking soda, 1 teaspoon water and vanilla; reserve.

    Mix sugar, 1 cup water and corn syrup in 3-quart saucepan.

    Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, to 240° on candy thermometer.
