Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup unsalted peanuts
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp baking soda
Directions

1Lightly grease a cookie sheet and set aside.

2In a heavy 2 quart saucepan, over medium heat, bring to a boil: sugar, salt, corn syrup, and water.

3Keep stirring until sugar is dissolved, then stir in peanuts.

4Set a candy thermometer in place and stir frequently until temperature reaches 300F.

5Immediately remove from heat and stir in butter and baking soda.

6Pour onto cookie sheet.

7Using two forks, lift and pull the peanut mixture to form a rectangle about 14x12 inches.

8Let cool completely, then snap into pieces.
