  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. chopped peanuts

Directions

    Put sugar, molasses and water in saucepan and heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.

    Boil, without stirring, until syrup reaches hard-crack stage (300°).

    Remove from heat and add butter or margarine and baking soda; stir just enough to mix well.

    Stir in chopped peanuts.
