- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- 1 c. peanuts (other nuts may be substituted)
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Butter an 8 or 9-inch metal cake pan.

2Set aside.

3In a glass bowl, microwave the first two ingredients on High for 4 minutes. Add nuts and microwave on High for an additional 3 minutes.

4Stir in butter and vanilla last and microwave on High for 2 more minutes.

5Pour into buttered pan and let cool.

6Loosen carefully when cool and candy can be removed in one round piece.

7Wrap in colored Saran Wrap or cellophane wrap.

8Tie with ribbon to give as gift.

9Do not use glass pan, as glass will not give when candy has cooled.
