  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 12 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 23 cup flour
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup chopped peanuts

Directions

    Melt the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler.

    You can use a saucepan over low heat if you keep stirring while the chocolate melts.

    In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and gradually add the sugar.

    Stir the melted chocolate and butter into the eggs.

    Add the vanilla and stir until well blended.

    Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a separate bowl.

    Add to chocolate mixture and blend.

    Stir in the nuts.

    Pour batter into a greased 8 inch square baking pan.
