- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. crunchy peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. oats and/or coconut
- 1/2 c. Spanish peanuts
Directions

1In large saucepan, heat sugar, butter and milk to boiling, stirring constantly.

2Cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently.

3Remove from heat; mix in peanut butter and vanilla.

4Stir in oats and/or coconut and nuts.

5Drop by scant tablespoon onto waxed paper or foil.

6If mixture is too stiff, stir in 1 or 2 drops of milk.

7If mixture is too thin, stir in oats or coconut.

8Let stand until firm.

9Makes about 2 1/2 dozen candies.
