  • 1-1/4 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 cups Shortening
  • 1/2 cups Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 whole Large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 package (12 Oz. Package) Chocolate Chips

    Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Cream shortening, peanut butter, and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add sifted ingredients and milk until mixed well. Chill until firm enough to roll (about 30-40 minutes). Roll out on a floured surface to make a rectangle that will fit onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350F about 10 minutes or until golden and firm. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
