- 1 1/4 c. Crisco oil
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 c. grated fresh pears, drained
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Mix sugar and oil.

2Beat in eggs, one at a time.

3Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add a third at a time to other mixture. Mix nuts with last third of flour.

4Add to mixture.

5Add grated and drained pears to mixture.

6Bake at 350° until toothpick comes out clean.

7Bake in tube pan for about 55 minutes.
