  • 4 cups pears, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fruit juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 14 cup flour
  • 14 cup packed brown sugar
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine

    In a medium bowl, combine the pears, juice, sugar and cinnamon.

    Mix well.

    Put the mixture into a lightly greased 8-inch square baking pan.

    In a small bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.

    Cut the butter into the mixture with 2 knives or a pastry cutter until the mixture is uniformly crumbly.
