- 6 large pears (ripe)
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry.

2Pare, core and slice pears into large bowl.

3Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; pour this over pears after sprinkling with lemon juice.

4Toss all together and pour into pastry lined pan.

5Dot with butter.

6Place top crust over pears.

7Cut slits for escape of steam.

8Seal edges and bake at 400° for 30 to 40 minutes.
