Ingredients

  • 1 gallon pears
  • 12 green bell peppers
  • 12 red bell peppers
  • 12 onions
  • 1/2 gallon vinegar
  • 7 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 2 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. Turmeric
  • 2 c. plain salt water

Directions

    Chop and grind first four ingredients and soak in 2 cups plain salt water for 2 hours.

    Rinse with water and drain 3 times.
  3. 3
    Mix together next 5 ingredients, vinegar, sugar, mustard seed and celery seed and Turmeric.

    Mix this mixture with the pear mixture and cook about 30 minutes.

    Cool and put in jars and seal.
