  • 1 large can pimentos
  • 4 large red peppers
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. powdered ground (dry) mustard
  • 2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 hot pepper (more if you like it hot)
  • 4 large green peppers
  • 2 lb. onions
  • 4 c. sugar

Directions

    Peel and grind in food chopper until you have 1 gallon of pears.

    Place in a large pan and add 1 cup salt.

    Let stand 1 hour.

    Squeeze out all juice and then add ingredients.

    Cook for 20 minutes.

    Seal in jars.
