- 6 fresh pears
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1/4 c. brandy
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Melt butter in baking dish and spread along bottom of dish.

3Peel, quarter and pare pears.

4Place pears cut side down on buttered baking dish.

5Mix Karo and brandy in separate bowl and pour over pears.

6Sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

7Serve hot over vanilla ice cream.
