Pears With Mint Chocolate

- 8 canned pear halves or 4 fresh pears
- water
- sugar
- 6 to 8 chocolate covered mints
- grapes or walnut halves (for garnish)
Directions

1If using fresh pears, cook in water with sugar until soft to the touch; drain well.

2Drain canned pears well.

3Place on an ovenproof plate.

4Put one chocolate covered mint on top of each pear half.

5Broil or bake pears in oven at 375° to 400° for 10 to 15 minutes, until chocolate is melted.

6Remove from oven.

7Garnish with grapes or walnut halves.

8Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
