Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. Karo syrup
  • dash of salt
  • 1 1/4 c. pecans (peanuts may be substituted if desired)
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Mix sugar, water, syrup and salt together and boil for 1 minute.

    Add pecans and cook to 305° on candy thermometer.
  3. 3
    Add soda, stir and turn out onto buttered pans.
