  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 3/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • 5 c. pecans
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 Tbsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Toast pecans in a 200° oven until warm.

    Set aside.

    Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to 240°, then add pecans.

    Cook to 295°, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Add butter and stir until dissolved.

    Add soda and salt; stir vigorously.

    Pour out in butter greased pans.

    Spread as thinly as possible.

    Break into pieces when cooled.
