Pecan Chocolate Chip Pie

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Kentucky bourbon or 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell, partially baked

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add beaten eggs, flour, salt and bourbon or vanilla.

    Add chocolate chips and pecans.

    Stir well.

    Pour into partially baked pie shell and bake for 30 minutes or until center is set (up to 60 minutes).

    Serve with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.

    (It's better to cool pie well before serving and reheat in the microwave.)
