  • 2 cups apples chopped cooking
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar granulated
  • 1/2 cup flour, all-purpose
  • 1 each egg yolks beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 each egg whites beaten until foamy
  • 1 each pie shell (9 inch) 9 inch, unbaked

Directions

    Put chopped apples in a large bowl.

    Add sugar, flour, egg yolk, vanilla, lemon juice and pecans; mix well.

    Add egg white.

    Stir well and pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake at 350F (180C) for 30 to 45 minutes
