Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
- 1 small (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 c. flour
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream together margarine and cream cheese.

2Add flour and mix with fork or pastry blender.

3Form into 1 inch balls, flatten and carefully press into 2 small greased muffin pans.

4Mix brown sugar, pecans, egg, melted butter and vanilla to make filling.

5Fill pastry cups with filling, being careful not to overfill.

6Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

7Cool for 10 to 15 minutes; cup should then easily lift out of tins.

8Store covered in refrigerator.

9Yields 2 dozen.
