- 1 c. pecans
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening (Crisco or vegetable, not lard)
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Start oven at 325° and chop pecans rather coarsely.

2Work or cream butter and shortening together until smooth, then beat in sugar gradually.

3Stir in the flour thoroughly and add vanilla and pecans.

4Mix well and drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased baking sheet.

5Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until a delicate brown.
