  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 2 c. sifted all purpose flour
  • 2 c. pecans grated or finely chopped
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Cream butter, blend in sugar, salt, vanilla and water. Add flour and pecans. Mix well. Chill if dough is soft. Shape into fingers- like ovals using level tsp. of dough. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350° about 15 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar. Makes about 10 dozen.
