- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. water
- pecans, shelled and nut meats in perfect halves
Directions

1In a saucepan, combine sugar, tartar and water; stir as mixture heats until sugar dissolves.

2Wipe away any sugar crystals that may form on the side when dripped from a spoon.

3Using a long, sharp pin, dip pecan halves, one at a time, into glaze and place on a buttered dish.

4Work fast for glaze hardens rapidly. Dates, almonds, Brazil nuts, Malaga grapes, orange sections and even violets may be treated in this way.
